Team

A high-profile network of Industry Partners supports the investment team of Ufenau Capital Partners, comprising experienced entrepreneurs and managers from different sectors. Our Industry Partners will be, depending on the need of a company and in close consultation with the management team, involved in the development of a company.

Ralf Flore

Managing Partner

Prior founding Ufenau Capital Partners, Ralf Flore was 5 years CEO of a publicly listed private equity company and based in Frankfurt and Zurich.

Before this tenure, Ralf was Investment Director at Go Equity in Vienna and was responsible for growth capital and buyouts in the DACH-region. Between 2000-2004, he was Analyst and then Investment manager at Swiss Life Private Equity Partners and Capvis Equity Partners in Zurich.

Ralf Flore started his career as a commercial trainee in a SME company and has a degree in Business Administration.

Dieter Scheiff

Managing Partner

From 2006 until 2009 Dieter Scheiff was CEO of Adecco, the largest global staffing company with sales of above EUR 20bn.

Prior to Adecco, Dieter was CEO of publicly listed German staffing company DIS AG. DIS AG represented a market leading staffing company which he developed via add-on acquisitions until DIS was acquired by Adecco in 2006. Until 2001, Dieter was VP of the European business of the pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson Cordis and was leading the German operations as CEO. His career began in 1979 at the US corporation 3M, where he held various management positions gaining insights and experience in different areas.

Dieter has a degree in Business Administration from University of Aachen.

Marinus Schmitt

Partner

Beside taking care of some portfolio companies, he is also responsible for investor relations and bank financing.

Before joining Ufenau in 2006, Marinus Schmitt was Analyst at Quarton International, a leading M&A & Corporate Finance company with focus also on small and medium-sized companies in the D/A/CH-region.

Marinus Schmitt has a master degree in Business Administration from University of Zurich. During his studies, he gained experience in the financial industry (Merrill Lynch, USA) and in logistics (Loxxess, Germany).

Andreas Joehle

Partner

He has over 30 years of operational experience in the healthcare sector and was the global CEO of the listed HARTMANN Group for 6 years before joining Ufenau Capital Partners. He combines practical management experience in industry, also in foreign cultures, with sound financial knowledge.

Paul Hartmann AG is a leading international provider of nursing and medical products with sales of EUR 2.5bn and 11’000 employees at more than 70 locations.

Prior Paul Hartmann, Andreas lead the Surgical Division at the Swedish Mölnlycke Health Care Group with sales of EUR 600m and over 5’000 employees and also worked internationally for the Danish Coloplast Group and the 3M Group.

In 2016 he graduated as Certified Director (INSEAD, Fontainebleau), in addition to his studies at INSEAD (Fontainebleau/Singapore), IMD (Lausanne) and Duke University (North Carolina).

Christina Mankus

Head of Talent

Christina Mankus has been working closely with Ufenau Capital Partners and our portfolio companies since 2015.

She is an independent management consultant since 2013 and advises, supports and empowers business owners, executives, management teams and entire organisations in and towards individually defined objectives.

Previously, Christina held various national and international management positions including SVP Global Business Development in Zurich at Adecco SA, Business Unit Manager IT at DIS AG, Branch Manager, Sales and Production Manager for leather wear in Turkey and India.

Joaquín Alcalde

Investment Director & Head of Iberia

He manages portfolio companies in operational matters and, as member of the investment team, is responsible for the execution of transactions.

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Joaquín Alcalde gained private equity experience as an Investment Director at the buyout house H.I.G. Capital in Madrid, where he led several LBO and growth transactions throughout Spain. Previously, he was a Consulting Manager at McKinsey&Co, where he advised international companies on strategic and operational matters. Between 2008 and 2012, he worked as an Associate with an US fund and with Abengoa, an international engineering and services company. Joaquín is also an Adjunct Professor at IE University, holding seminars in the field of Finance and Private Equity.

He holds a double degree in engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Spain, and from Ecole Central Paris in France. He also coursed with honours and distinction an MBA at Columbia Business School sponsored by the Rafael del Pino Foundation.

Erik Fuchs

Investment Director & Head of Benelux

Erik Fuchs supports the portfolio companies operationally as well as the Investment Team in the execution of transactions.

Prior to joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Erik gained private equity experience as Co-Head of Benelux at Silverfleet Capital and as Investment Director Benelux at Alpha Private Equity. Previously, he was a Managing Director in Rabobank’s M&A team and worked with Lazard’s Benelux team from 2004 to 2014. He started his career at ABN AMRO Corporate Finance.

Erik holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. He spent a semester of his studies at the Université d’Aix-Marseille in France and interned with ABN AMRO in Morocco. He also completed the CFA program

Adrian Hess

Investment Director

Adrian Hess manages portfolio companies in operational matters, especially with reporting, as well as he supports the investment team to execute transactions.

From 2003-2011, Adrian was a Credit Analyst at Freiburger Kantonalbank for private and corporate credits and gained valuable experience in financing of small and medium-sized companies.

Parallel to his work at Freiburger Kantonalbank, Adrian Hess has completed a bilingual Bachelor in Business Administration at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft in Freiburg and earned a Master of Advanced Studies in Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich.

Richard Lustig

Investment Director

He supports the portfolio companies operationally as well as the Investment Team in the execution of transactions.

Before joining Ufenau, Richard Lustig was Head of M&A at the Medaktiv Reha Group, a company of the buyout house Auctus Capital Partners, where he also gained experience in the field of Private Equity. From 2007 to 2016 Richard Lustig worked in several positions in the area of IT, audit and corporate finance at the chemical and healthcare group Bayer.

Richard Lustig holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology of FHDW (DE), a Master’s degree of Hult International Business School (US) and a Master in Finance degree of London Business School (UK).

Nathanael Meier

Investment Manager

He supports the portfolio companies operationally as well as the Investment Team in the execution of transactions.

Prior to Ufenau Capital Partners, Nathanael Meier gained experience in project management, accounting as well as financing.

Nathanael Meier earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and his Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Bern.

Kevin Elsässer

Investment Manager

He supports the investment team to execute transactions as well as with research tasks.

Prior to Ufenau Capital Partners, Kevin Elsaesser gained first transaction experience at private equity firm capiton (Berlin). Through various internships at Palladio Partners (Frankfurt) and Commerzbank (Frankfurt) Kevin got practical insights in M&A and fundraising activities.

Kevin Elsässer holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Management and a Master’s degree in Finance from EBS University of Economics and Law (Oestrich Winkel). In addition, he gained experience during his semester abroad at George Washinton University in Washington D.C.

Michael Steckermeier

Investment Manager

He supports the investment team to execute transactions as well as with research and analysis tasks.

Prior to Ufenau Capital Partners, Michael Steckermeier gained first transaction experience at Ernst & Young (Frankfurt am Main) as well as IMAP M&A Consultants (Munich). Through various internships at Horváth & Partners (Frankfurt am Main), BMW AG (Munich) or E.ON AG Michael got insights in M&A, controlling and process optimization activities.

Michael Steckermeier holds a Master degree in Industrial Engineering from the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen-Nuremberg. Before his academic career Michael Steckermeier participated at the European Gymnastic Championship.

Martin Castrischer

Investment Manager

He supports the portfolio companies operationally as well as the Investment Team in the execution of transactions.

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Martin Castrischer worked as M&A Analyst at Lazard and Private Equity Associate at Cross Equity Partners.

Martin Castrischer has a Bachelor’s as well as Master’s degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Zurich.

Marius Buxkämper

Investment Manager

He supports the portfolio companies operationally as well as the Investment Team in the execution of transactions.

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Marius Buxkämper was responsible for investments in the D/A/CH region as part of the investment team at the medium-sized investment company ECM Equity Capital Management in Frankfurt am Main. Prior to that, he worked with Deutsche Bank AG and GE Capital on (acquisition) financings for medium-sized companies and investment companies.

Marius Buxkämper trained as a banker at Sparkasse Westmünsterland and holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He also gained experience during a semester abroad at UNSW – University of New South Wales in Sydney.

 

Pascal Kochem

Investment Manager

He supports the investment team to execute transactions as well as with research and analysis tasks.

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Pascal Kochem gained experience in private equity at Auctus Capital Partners in Munich and as Head of Business Development and M&A at Kanalservice Group, a portfolio company of Ufenau. Since the beginning of his career in transaction consulting at KPMG in Zurich, he has focused on building up medium-sized groups of companies and succession solutions.

Pascal Kochem completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s studies in Accounting & Finance at the University of St. Gallen and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

 

Christian Meyer-Busche

Senior Associate

He supports the portfolio companies operationally as well as the Investment Team in the execution of transactions.

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Christian was a Senior Associate at Partners Group AG, where he gained transaction experience in the telecommunications, water treatment and healthcare sectors as part of the Private Infrastructure team. Prior to that, he gained experience in sales (BlackRock), investment banking (Canaccord Genuity) and venture capital (Neuhaus Partners).

Christian Meyer-Busche completed his Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and his Bachelor of Honors in Accounting and Finance at the University of Glasgow. In addition, he gained experience during semesters abroad at the City University of Hong Kong and the Rotman School, University of Toronto.

 

Tobias Welzel

Associate

He supports the investment team to execute transactions as well as with research and analysis tasks.

Prior to Ufenau Capital Partners, Tobias Welzel gained relevant transaction experience through previous internships at Deloitte (Transaction Advisory Services), CapitalMind (M&A) and ZF Group (Post-Merger Integration ZF/ TRW Automotive).
Additionally, through the foundation of a FinTech Start-up and a non-profit consultancy during his studies, Tobias got insights into financing, marketing & sales and process optimization activities.

Tobias Welzel holds a Bachelor degree in business administration from Konstanz and a Master in Finance from the Grenoble Ecole de Management.

Jose Roig

Senior Associate

He supports the spanish investment team to execute transactions as well as with research and analysis tasks.

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Jose was Engagement Manager at McKinsey&Co, where he advised international companies on strategic and operational matters. Previously, he gained private equity experience through internships at the investment houses Avior Capital and Hillwood Partners. Additionally he founded a QSR Start-up and is a Spanish Lawyer.

He holds degrees in Law, Business Administration and Economics from Universidad de Valencia (Spain) and an MBA from London Business School (UK) coursed with Honours and Dean’s List distinction.

Ignacio Goded

Associate

He supports the investment team to execute transactions as well as with research and analysis tasks.

Prior to Ufenau Capital Partners, Ignacio Goded completed a Restructuring Services Internship at KPMG and a 2-year Transactions Rotational Program at Ernst & Young. Additionally, through the foundation of an E-Commerce Start-up, Ignacio got insights into financing, marketing & sales and process optimization activities.

Ignacio Goded holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from ESADE Business School. Besides his studies in Barcelona (Spain), he studied abroad at Georgetown University in Washington DC (USA).

Nicolás Moreno

Associate

He supports the Spanish investment team to execute transactions as well as with research and analysis tasks.

Prior to Ufenau Capital Partners, Nicolas Moreno completed a 2-year Transactions Rotational Program followed by a 2-year generalist M&A advisory experience at Ernst & Young in Spain.

Nicolas Moreno holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from IE University. Complementing his formal education in Madrid (Spain), he studied abroad at the University of Southern California, Marshall, in Los Angeles (USA).

Silvan Fehst

Associate

He supports the investment team to execute transactions as well as with research and analysis tasks.

Prior to joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Silvan Fehst gained experience in private equity at a mid-market oriented investment house in Frankfurt as well as internships at Rantum Capital, EY and Deloitte.

Silvan Fehst completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Bamberg and his Master’s degree with a focus on Finance in Ireland at Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Lukas Compagnoni

Analyst

Lukas Compagnoni supports the investment team in the execution of transactions as well as in analysis and research tasks.

Prior to joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Lukas Compagnoni was a Private Equity Analyst at Studer Family Office and gained relevant transaction experience. Between 2018 and 2020, he worked as a research assistant at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences in the department of financial services and investments.

Lukas Compagnoni holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Banking and Finance from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences.

Kevin Alder

Associate

He supports the investment team to execute transactions as well as with research and analysis tasks.

Prior to Ufenau Capital Partners, Kevin Alder completed a banking apprenticeship at Zurich Cantonal Bank and further gained practical experience in the field of strategy consulting and M&A.

Kevin Alder holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen. Besides his studies in St. Gallen, he studied abroad at the Wharton School (USA) as well as at the IE University (Spain).

Maximilian Huber

Associate

He supports the investment team to execute transactions as well as with research and analysis tasks.

Prior to joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Maximilian Huber gained transaction experience through previous internships at the investment houses Aurelius and GIMV. Furthermore, he is familiar with commercial topics and strategic corporate management through practical experience at The Boston Consulting Group and Deloitte.

Maximilian Huber holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and a Master of Finance & IT from the Technical University of Munich. During his studies he gained international experience at the University of California Irvine (USA) and at Curtin University (Australia).

Beli Nguyen

Senior Analyst

Beli Ngyuen supports the investment team in the execution of transactions as well as in analysis and research tasks.

Prior to joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Beli Nguyen was a private equity analyst at AUCTUS Capital Partners. Prior to that, she gained experience in M&A (goetzpartners), corporate banking (BNP Paribas) and corporate audit (PwC).

Beli Nguyen completed her bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Mannheim and was at the University of Dayton during her au pair time in the US.

Carlo Paas

Analyst

Carlo Paas supports the investment team in the execution of transactions as well as in analysis and research tasks.

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Carlo Paas gained experience in transactions and strategic management through previous internships in investment banking at HSBC and strategy consulting at Horváth & Partners.

Carlo Paas completed his Master’s degree in International Finance at HEC Paris and his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). During his studies, he gained experience abroad at the New York University Stern School of Business.

 

 

Moritz Furrer

Analyst

Moritz Furrer supports the investment team in the execution of transactions as well as in analysis and research tasks.

Prior to joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Moritz Furrer gained relevant transaction experience through various internships at Citi (Power & Utilities Investment Banking), Jefferies (M&A Investment Banking) and Societe Generale (Equity Capital Markets). Moritz’s previous professional experience at zeb consulting was characterised by reorganisation and restructuring projects. In addition, he is familiar with capital market topics and regulatory issues through positions at the International Monetary Fund (Washington D.C.), PwC and Deka Investment.

Moritz Furrer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a focus on International Trade from the University of Bayreuth. Moritz is currently completing his Master’s degree in Management & Economics at the University of Zurich with a focus on Corporate Finance. In addition, he gained experience during a semester abroad at Columbia University in New York City.

 

Noël Meschi

Analyst

Noël Meschi supports the investment team in the execution of transactions as well as in analysis and research tasks.

Prior to joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Noël Meschi gained relevant transaction experience through various internships at Capvis (Private Equity), Lincoln International (M&A Investment Banking) and CITTTIC (Strategic Investor). In addition, he is familiar with various topics in the area of asset management and wealth management through positions at UBS (Real Estate & Private Markets) and during his commercial banking training at Credit Suisse.

Noël Meschi completed his Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Banking and Finance at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland. He also gained experience during a semester abroad in Helsinki.

 

Rachid Jellouli

Head of Funds, Risk & Compliance

Prior to joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Rachid Jellouli worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers AG in Zurich as an auditor in Asset Management and as a Money Laundering Investigator in the Regulatory & Compliance Service.

Previously, he was auditor in asset management at KPMG Luxembourg.

Rachid Jellouli holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business with a focus on Finance and Accounting from the School of Business and Economics in Maastricht. During his studies he gained international experience at the School of Business and Social Sciences in Aarhus.

Antonia Chorschew

Portfolio Data Analyst, Deputy Risk & Compliance

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Antonia Chorschew completed an internship for an independent Swiss provider of investment solutions and technologies in the structured products market. Previously, she gained experience in the fields of marketing and finance alongside her studies.

Antonia Chorschew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics with a focus on Banking and Finance at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Finance at the ZHAW.

Simon Gnann

Finance Manager

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Simon Gnann worked for a global leasing company in the Group Accounting/Controlling department. Previously, he was an audit manager in the financial services environment at KPMG in Munich.

Simon Gnann completed his apprenticeship as a banker at Kreissparkasse Biberach and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Albstadt-Sigmaringen University.

Angela Rother

Executive Assistant

Prior to joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Angela Rother worked for various companies as Office Administrator in Australia.

Previously, she was a management assistant at the Belvoirpark Hotel School and Head of Reception at a private bank in Zurich.

Angela Rother completed an apprenticeship as a hotel manageress in Berlin. After her apprenticeship she worked for several years in the reception area of the hotel industry in Berlin and Zurich.

Afrdita Aliaj

Executive Assistant

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Afrdita Aliaj worked for several years as an executive assistant at IWGplc. After her education as a commercial clerk, she gained experience in the areas of finance, services and community management.

Afrdita Aliaj holds the Swiss Federal Diploma of Higher Education as Executive Assistant.

Nathalja Gier dos Santos

Team Assistant

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Nathalja Gier dos Santos worked for several years as a project management assistant for a global automotive supplier. Before that, she gained practical experience in the field of human resources.

Nathalja Gier dos Santos completed her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on marketing and sales at the University of Applied Sciences in Offenburg.

Christine Brandes

Fund Assistant

Christine Brandes supports the CFO and Head of Funds on an operational level.

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, she worked as an assistant/office manager at private equity and investment boutiques in Zurich and Pfäffikon SZ. There she gained practical experience in compliance and fund administration.

Christine Brandes completed his apprenticeship as a banker and worked for 12 years at Dresdner Bank Hannover in various positions.

Adelina Cucurezeanu

Personal Assistant and Receptionist

Adelina supports the Spanish team as an assistant and receptionist. Before joining Ufenau, Adelina gained experience in various Spanish and German companies. In particular, she worked as a team assistant, project assistant and in office management.

After her training as an office administrator, she completed a degree in dramaturgy/theatre. She is currently expanding her knowledge with a distance learning course in social sciences.
